At first, Ender Wiggin is scared and does not know if he will be able to excel in battle school and get along with the other kids in battle school. The text says, “Wherever their laughter came from, Ender couldn’t find such a place in himself. He was afraid and fear made him serious” (28). Over the course of the text Ender becomes more confident and starts to face the pressures of battle school. He shows the other kids in battle school his intelligence and fighting skills, and he shows that he is comfortable in null gravity, and is comfortable being a leader.
Ender has become increasingly more capable of his abilities as a commander and as a soldier. In the beginning, Ender was very shy and almost ashamed of his aggressive behavior. Throughout the book, he has slowly begun to harness his power and skill to become a fabulous student at Battle School. Ender has more of a killer’s mind now, as much as he would like to deny it.
Ender has become a, what you call top of the class commander and has improved dramatically as a soldier. In the beginning, Ender was very aware of his surroundings and was learning about his classmates who to make friends with and who not too. To accomplish this he had to act very shy, it was part acting and partly the truth. Throughout the book, he has slowly begun to thrive in the students and become popular with some of them while doing great in the battle scenarios. Ender is more like a soldier with nerves of steel in the battle field and, even though he doesn’t want too, he will kill any living thing that is a threat to him and his group.
At first coming to battle school Ender is frightened and scared of it. But over the course of time he goes through things many of the soldiers’ didn’t have to. Teachers put him through odd obstacles for no reason. After the period of years he comes out thorough and aware of everything, intelligent as ever. Definitely the most noticeable thing about him after battle school is that he is tough.
